ULTRAsplice is for 125um clad singlemode and multimode applications. Works with buffersizer from 250um to 900um. Average loss is less than .2dBwith a fiber retention of over 2 lbs. Installing this Fiber Optic Mechanical Splice is simple and no special tools are required. You simply cleave and insert the optical fibers, then while visibly checking the optical fiber location through the glass capillary of the mechanical splice, secure the fiber by twisting a locking nut. Universal Mechanical Splice meets and exceeds Telcordia specifications.
